Project challenge
The property owner wanted the main wall of the living room to present the carved texture and joint effect of a whole raw stone, while avoiding the problems of traditional stone such as heavy weight, complex construction and easy hollowing. Conventional ceramic tiles or stone veneers are difficult to achieve the natural layering of seamless connection, have high requirements for the flatness of the base layer, and also have high later maintenance costs.
Applied solution
Selected the "Pacific Golden Stone Series" ceramic tile pattern (HD-KD-HJS-2412W, Phantom Gray roll coating).
Adopted the construction system of Kunde 145# marble mineral fire-proof and anti-seepage two-component Han White Stone + liquid inorganic coating (inorganic mineral mortar).
The marble pattern effect is presented through joint design, so that the wall has the carved texture of a whole raw stone, and forms an overall minimalist atmosphere with the embedded fireplace and modern furniture.
Project results
The wall presents natural joints and marble texture, the phantom gray tone is calm and grand, with distinct layers
Visually close to the carving effect of a whole raw stone, lighter in weight and more convenient to construct
The system has fire and seepage resistance, effectively avoiding hollowing, cracking and efflorescence
After combining with the fireplace, it becomes the visual focus of the living room, and the overall space is more modern and textured.
We wanted the feel of stone, but we were worried about the weight and the problem of hollowing in the later stage. After this ceramic tile pattern product is finished, the joints are very natural, the color is also very clean, and the embedded fireplace is particularly coordinated. All friends who come to visit ask if it is real stone.
